High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Rudy Pilous (August 11, 1914 December 5, 1994) was a Canadian ice hockey player and coach, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Pilous won a Stanley Cup coaching the Chicago Black Hawks in 1960 61, and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1985 in the builder category. Pilous played junior ice hockey in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League before becoming a New York Rangers prospect. During 1937 38, Pilous played minor professional hockey with the New York Rovers of the Eastern Hockey League. Unable to reach the National Hockey League, Pilous transferred the St. Catharines Saints, a senior ice hockey in the Ontario Hockey Association Senior division from 1938 to 1941. In 1943, Pilous cofounded the St. Catharines Falcons, a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey Association. Pilous left the Falcons in 1946, spending the 1946 47 season as a scout for the nearby Buffalo Bisons.

Buffalo Memorial Auditorium (also known as The Aud) was an indoor arena in downtown Buffalo, New York. It hosted the Buffalo Bisons of the American Hockey League, the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League, the Buffalo Braves of the National Basketball Association, the Buffalo Stallions of the Major Soccer League, the Buffalo Bandits of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League, the Buffalo Blizzard of the second National Professional Soccer League, and the Buffalo Stampede of Roller Hockey International. It also held a number an NCAA basketball games, as well as numerous entertainment events, such as concerts, the Ringling Brothers circus and Disney on Ice. The Aud opened on October 14, 1940, and was renovated in 1970 and 1990. It was closed in 1996 following the conclusion of the Sabres', Bandits', and Blizzard's seasons, and remained vacant up through its demolition in 2009.

Edward Emmett Courtenay (born February 2, 1968 in Verdun, Quebec) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger and head coach. Following Courtenay's junior hockey career with Laval Titan and Granby Bisons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) he was signed by the Minnesota North Stars as a free agent on 1 October 1989. Minnesota assigned Courtenay to play with Kalamazoo Wings in the International Hockey League (IHL) where he spent his first three professional seasons. Courtenay was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 1991 Dispersal Draft when the NHL expanded to include San Jose. During the 1991 92 and 1992 93 seasons Courtenay played 44 NHL games for San Jose.
